SANTA CLARA — The 49ers will find out on Sunday night when they play against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 18.
The NFL will determine the date and time for the final week of the regular season once all playoff scenarios are known. Two games will take place on Saturday, January 7th, with the rest on Sunday, January 8th.
For teams in the AFC, that information may not be known until after Monday night’s game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, as it affects playoff results.
The league informed teams this week that the Week 18 game schedule for the NFC teams will likely be decided on Sunday night. The 49ers play the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 17 on Sunday afternoon.
The NFL will consider the impact of the playoffs when determining the dates and times of next week’s games. The 49ers vs. Cardinals game at Levi’s Stadium could impact playoff seeding.
The 49ers (11-4) qualified for the playoffs as NFC West champions and are currently in third place, but are competing with the Minnesota Vikings (12-3) for the second seed. The Philadelphia Eagles (13-2) are in first place, but he’s yet to beat the playoff-ready Dallas Cowboys (12-4) in the NFC East.
Two games are scheduled for Saturday, January 7 at 1:30 PM and 5:15 PM PT. Thirteen games are scheduled for Sunday, January 8 at 10:00 AM PT and 1:25 PM PT, with another on Sunday night at 5:20 PM PT. is scheduled.
All Week 18 games are open to all windows, according to the league.

The first round of the NFL playoffs will take place January 14-16. There will be two games on Saturday, January 14th at 1:30pm PT and 5:15pm PT. Three games on Sunday, January 15 at 10:00 AM, 1:30 PM PT, 5:15 PM PT. One game on Monday, January 16th at 5:15pm PT.
