Fifteen finalists have been inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2023 class.

The most notable of the group are the first three voters and are expected to generate a lot of buzz.

Offensive tackle Joe Thomas was voted to the Pro Bowl 10 times during his career with the Cleveland Browns and is considered one of the front-runners on the ballot. of the group’s most successful players.

Thomas played all 11 seasons with the Browns but never made the playoffs, let alone won the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Cleveland only went 10-6 once during the 2007 season.

New York Jets cornerback Darrell Reavis is also a novice, and his reporting skills are legendary at this point in NFL history.

A seven-time Pro Bowler, Revis made four first-team All-Pro appearances during an 11-year career that began in New York. The Jets drafted Reavis 14th overall from Pitt, and he quickly brought that “Isle of Revis” energy to the secondary.

NFL legend Deion Sanders: ‘Hall of Fame is no longer Hall of Fame’

After leaving the Jets, Reavis played one season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots in 2014. Reavis returned to the Jets for two more seasons in 2015 and 2016, and ended his Chiefs career with Kansas City in 2017.

If Thomas or Reavis are voted for Hall, they will join Calvin Johnson as members of the Canton drafted in the top 14 of their respective classes.

Finally, among the starting players is Indianapolis Colts great Dwight Freeney. Freeney played a key role in the Colts’ Super Bowl winning team in the 2006 season and was a defensive line threat every time he played in the league.

Freeney bounced back at the end of his playing days after playing 11 seasons for the Colts. After the 2012 season, Freeney spent two years with the then-San Diego Chargers, followed by the Arizona Cardinals (2015), the Atlanta Falcons (2016), and the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks (both). also participated in the 2017 campaign). Freeney finished his career with 125.5 sacks and 350 total tackles in 218 games.

NFL Hall of Famer follows in Deion Sanders’ footsteps with another HBCU head coach name

Another player to watch is cornerback Albert Lewis, who has been waiting a long time to reach the finalists stage after playing his last game in 1998.

Here’s the rest of the list:

    – Defense end Jared Allen

    – Tackle Willie Anderson

    – Cornerback Rondo Barber

    – wide receiver/returner Devin Hester

    – wide receiver Tory Holt

    – Wide receiver Andre Johnson

    – Linebacker Zach Thomas

    – Defensive End Demarcus Wear

    – Wide receiver Reggie Wayne
