Finally, among the starting players is Indianapolis Colts great Dwight Freeney. Freeney played a key role in the Colts’ Super Bowl winning team in the 2006 season and was a defensive line threat every time he played in the league.
Freeney bounced back at the end of his playing days after playing 11 seasons for the Colts. After the 2012 season, Freeney spent two years with the then-San Diego Chargers, followed by the Arizona Cardinals (2015), the Atlanta Falcons (2016), and the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks (both). also participated in the 2017 campaign). The Hall of Fame Board will meet shortly to discuss who will be participating in this year’s class. They can choose up to five contemporary finalists.
