Roberto De Zerbi wants Brighton to keep Moisés Caissedo and says ‘everyone makes mistakes’ after the midfielder pleaded to leave the club in January.

“I’m proud to bring Brighton a record transfer fee,” Caicedo said on Instagram, prompting him to refrain from training with Seagulls until after the transfer deadline on Tuesday.

Arsenal have already turned down a £60million bid for the Ecuador international this window, but Chelsea have also shown interest in the 21-year-old, who has been training with the Seagulls first team since the summer.

De Zerbi said ahead of Brighton’s FA Cup fourth round match against Liverpool: ITV He hoped a settlement with the midfielder was possible and he would remain at Amex Stadium for the remainder of the season.

“Moises is a good guy. Let’s see what happens tomorrow and the day after tomorrow,” he said. “I hope he stays with us until the end of the season.

“Sometimes mistakes are made in life. There are many solutions for everyone. We find the best solution for him and us.”

sky sports news Brighton have reportedly made it clear to Arsenal that Moises Caicedo will never be for sale.

Brighton has also privately revealed that Caicedo will not be leaving in January. They appreciate that the interest in him has turned his head, giving him a few days to straighten his head for the rest of the season.

Caicedo said on social media: “I am grateful to Mr Bloom and Mr Brighton for giving me the chance to play in the Premier League. are playing”

“I am the youngest of 10 children who grew up in a poor family in Santa Domingo, Ecuador. My dream has always been to become the most awarded player in the history of Ecuador.

“We are proud to bring Brighton a record transfer fee so they can reinvest it and help the club continue to thrive.

Arsenal in talks to sign Moises Caicedo

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge details Arsenal’s £60m bid for Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.

“My fans have had me in their hearts and will always be in my heart, so I hope they understand why I want to take this great opportunity.”

Caicedo told Brighton’s official website earlier this week that he was solely focused on his current club.

Leandro Trossar has already been traded in the current window in Brighton’s £27million deal to Arsenal, but Brighton are determined to keep Caicedo.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta declined to comment on him when asked about him after their 1-0 FA Cup fourth-round loss to Manchester City on Friday night.

Roberto De Zerbi says he has spoken to Moises Caicedo more like a father than a coach and hopes he will stay at Brighton until the end of the season.

“You know I’m not going to comment on any player until something is done, and I will continue to do so,” Arteta said.

“Like I said before, we’ve been pretty aggressive in the market. We have some necessities and if something is available the club is willing to do it.
