Surely someone will take a chance on Chapman, who still has Elite Heat. In fact, rumors spread around the West Coast that the Los Angeles Dodgers were interested in Chapman.
But Mike Di Giovannathe Dodgers beat the Los Angeles Times writer, debunking it as Tweet on Thursday:
There are some rumors flying around today #Dodgers One of the teams claiming to be interested in veteran closer Aroldis Chapman has offered him a two-year contract. Neither is true. LA is not involved in his difficult LHP bid, according to two of his sources familiar with the team’s thinking.

Chapman, 34, appeared in 43 games last season, going 4-4 with nine saves and a career-worst 4.46 ERA. He nearly burned every bridge leading to the Bronx when he missed a workout at Yankee Stadium during his 2022 MLB playoffs.
The 13-year MLB veteran is a seven-time All-Star, and his 315 all-time saves rank 24th all-time, but third among active pitchers. Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Craig Kimbrel has 394 saves and Boston Reds reliever Kenley Jansen has 391 saves.
