Mike Perry appears to be an option for Jake Paul’s next match.
“Platinum” has found a home in the bare knuckle boxing community after leaving the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2021. , Jake Paul.
According to Perry, today (Tuesday, January 3, 2023), the two sides are negotiating for the fight to take place next month (February, 2023).
“I made a deal to fight @jakepaul, but he changed his mind (shrug emoji)” Perry murmured.
Perry’s biggest win after the UFC was his final timeout against top-ranked Bellator welterweight contender Michael “Venom” Page. Perry won the contest by majority vote, extending his winning streak to three (see highlights). His brash and outspoken personality shows interest in participating in any combat sport calling his name at this point (even if it’s overseas like Russia).
Paul, on the other hand, has won all six professional boxing bouts. In October 2022, he scored a major unanimous decision victory over former UFC middleweight champion and greatest fighter of all time, Anderson Silva (see highlights).
The new year has been a promising one (literally) for Paul, who has continued to advocate better salaries for mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters. I’m tired of beating up old men.”
Perry is only 31 and it remains to be seen if he fits the age limit Paul currently has in place. That said, the “problem child” is still interested in facing his longtime UFC veteran Nate Diaz, 37.
