BOYNTON BEACH — Jensen Beach did something as special as the football team when he came to Palm Beach County wearing a teal soccer jersey in the Jacksonville Jaguars colors.

After falling behind 1-0, the Falcons scored three goals in the final ten minutes of the first half to secure a 3-2 victory on Tuesday and clinch their first district championship since 2009.

Gavin Hart and Jack James scored two goals to clinch the 13-4A division title and extend their record to 8-3-1. Shane Knoll scored and assisted for American Heritage (8-6-2) in a game played at Somerset Canyons.

“It’s really big not having a trophy here since 2009,” Hart said.

After trailing 1-0 with 3 minutes to go, Jensen Beach started to take better action with 28 minutes remaining.
