    Here’s a recap of the high school varsity team’s action starting Wednesday, February 1st.

    John Carroll 68, McDonough 54: The host Patriots (10-14, 7-3 University of Maryland Athletic Association A Conference Black Division) defeated the Eagles (14-10, 4-7). McDonough is on his fourth straight loss and will face St. Francis on Monday. John Carroll has won three of his last five games and will host St He Maria Goretti on Friday.

    Howard 52, Oakland Mills 48: The host Lions beat the Scorpions 14-8 in the fourth quarter. Griffinger scored his game-high 20 points at Howard and DeJuan Taylor scored his 16 points at Oakland Mills.

    Severn 66, Gerstell 60, OT: Jacob Randall scored a game-high 32 points to lead the hosts Admirals (14-5, 11-4 MIAA B Conference) over the Falcons (11-11, 6-8). Caleb Franze led his Gerstell with his 25 points. 4 wins in a row. Mason Irvin and Kingston Price each had his 14 points with the Admirals. For the Falcons, Tony Hicks Jr. scored 16 points and Dylan Knee scored 13.

    Hereford 76, Milford Mill 44: Lauren Kraft scored a game-high 29 points to put the host Bulls ahead of the Millers.

    Pikesville 53, Durany 32: TyKeisha Hill and Mariah Jones-Bey scored 14 points each to lead the Panthers to victory.

    Francis Scott Quay 48, Westminster 40: The Eagles secured the full Carroll County championship with the win. Rayna Miller made his 4-of-5 3-pointers and scored her team-high 12 points. Ally Matthias recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Abby Rieger scored 10 and Drew Watkins scored 7. Westminster scored his first 10 points of the game and a quarter later he led 10-4, but the Eagles recovered to lead by two at half-time.

    Gerstell 57, Friends 48: Gerstel was led by Enya Stinnett on 17 points. Kendall Williams and Kiara Hardy scored 11 each and Annie Jackson scored 10.

    Rock Raven 73, Parkville 25: The visiting Raiders improved to 16-0.

    Carver A&T 41, Patapsco 22: The hosts Wildcats (8-6) defeated the Patriots.

    Annapolis 42, Arundel 39: The visiting Panthers (7-4) defeated the Wildcats. Annapolis got pins from Jaeger Franz (120), Miles Rankin (126) and Trevor Price (132).
