    Abbi Clapp scored twice for the Newport Harbor High women’s soccer team in Tuesday’s 5-0 Sunset Conference crossover match home win.

    Isa Whittaker added a goal and an assist for the Sailors (7-5-2) and Kate Kubiak also scored. Sadie Hock had two assists, as did Kylie Lopez and Emma Garrido.

    Goalkeeper Audrey Barnes made one save over rival CdM playing Newport Harbor in Thursday’s Battle of the Bay game.

    Fountain Valley (8-3-1) play in Huntington Beach on Thursday.

    Edison 1, Marina 1: Haley Clinhan scored a late goal for the Chargers to save the tie in a Sunset Conference crossover match at Edison High on Tuesday.

    Costa Mesa 8, Saddleback 0: The Mustangs have improved to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in the Orange Coast League after Tuesday’s win.

    Sage Hill 51, Irvine 44: The Lightning are now 4-9 after winning the Pacific Coast League opener at Irvine High on Tuesday.

    Fountain Valley 41, Huntington Beach 31: Mary Nguyen scored 11 points and Carly Waite added 10 points to host Barons in a crossover game at the Sunset Conference on Tuesday.

    Maria Kawakubo, who returned from an ankle injury in the Barons opener, scored seven goals. Diana Burke played Fountain Valley where he added 6 points and 10 rebounds (7-12).

    Akemi Tanga led the Oilers with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists. Isabel Meritas also scored her 11 points (7-12) at Huntington Beach.

    Corona del Mar 50, Laguna Beach 41: Senior guard Dorothy Schwenk scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Corona del Marhay women’s basketball team to a 50-41 victory over Laguna Beach in the Sunset Conference crossover game at home on Tuesday. Did.

    A sharp shooter, Schwenk made six 3-pointers, including four conversions from over the arc in the first quarter. Kenedie French-Matthews was also his CdM where he scored 15 points (8-9).

    Costa Mesa is currently 4-11 overall and 1-3 in the league.

    Sage Hill 76, Irvine 45: Amalia Holguin scored a season-high 27 points on four steals as the Lightning overtook Vaqueros in Tuesday’s Pacific Coast League opener.

    Emily Eadie added 16 points, 10 rebounds, 7 steals and 4 assists for Sage Hill (10-5). Katt Righeimer had 15 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.

    Zoe Lamkin had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals while Grace Bori had 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

    Pacifica Christian Orange County 92, Pacifica Christian Santa Monica 51: Lauryn Ham made eight 3-pointers to give the away Tritons a 31-point performance in Tuesday’s non-league game.

    Charis Wondercheck scored 23 points and Chara Wondercheck added 10 points to Pacifica Christian (12-5). Andy Martinez added her eight assists.
