MEMPHIS, Tennessee (AP) — Jamorant had 27 points, 15 assists and 10 rebounds as Jaren Jackson Jr. added 28 points as the Memphis Grizzlies overcame a first half slump to beat the Indiana Pacers to 112 on Sunday. -100 down.
Brandon Clarke scored 13 points and made all five shots as Memphis lost five in a row and extended their home record to 21-3. It was Morant’s fifth triple-double of the season and his second in a row.
Benedict Maturin, the sixth overall pick in the 2022 draft, led the Pacers with 27 points and eight rebounds. Aaron Nesmith scored 16 and Myles Turner scored 15.
The Pacers dominated the first half, leading by 19 points. Only 60 percent shooting in the first half at halfway through the second quarter, Indiana broke and he contributed to a 62-50 lead.
However, 14 straight points put Memphis back in the game early in the third quarter, and the Grizzlies regained the lead by outscoring Indiana 30–17 in the third quarter.

In Sunday’s first home game for the Grizzlies, a video was released of Memphis police officers beating Tyre Nichols to death after a traffic stop. A moment of silence was held before the game for Five police officers have been fired and charged with a series of charges, including second-degree murder.
“Obviously our city is going through a very tough time right now. I’m more focused on that than basketball,” Jenkins said, adding that the video was “very disturbing.”
