Emmanuel Navarrete will make his £130 debut against Liam Wilson on February 3rd for the vacant WBO super featherweight title.
However, the Mexican slugger has yet to make a formal decision about his future at age 126 and relinquishing the featherweight title.
“Let’s see how things change,” Navarrete told Izquierdazo. will be transformed.”
Navarrete has revealed that reaching his featherweight limits has become difficult.
“I struggled a bit to make 126 pounds,” said Navarrete.
Another condition Navarrete analyzes is where to pursue unification warfare.
“You know I want a unification fight in the other weight class. I want to beat Wilson and then decide.”
Navarrete is looking forward to reaping the physical benefits of competing in his new weight class.
“In the division I’ve fought in, I’m very tall (5’7”),” Navarrete said. “So[moving to 130]would benefit me a little.
