A few days ago, tragedy struck the world when we lost one of the world’s most iconic legends. Brazilian football legend Pele has passed away, leaving fans with highlights of his memory. But when asked if there was any equivalent of Pele when it came to basketball, fans came up with an apt and respectful answer on social media.

There is no doubt that Pele is one of the greatest players in football. The skill and poise he possessed, as well as the number of accolades he earned, make the discussion rather one-sided.

Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain or Michael Jordan?

Fans were asked if there was anyone who could match Pele when it came to basketball.

But fans seem to have come up with an answer that justifies the late football legend.

A fan tweeted, “It doesn’t exist. He’s Bill Russell’s winning record at Wilt Chamberlain’s number.”

Doesn’t exist, he’s Bill Russell’s winning record at Wilt Chamberlain’s number.

Another fan commented: “Michael Jordan. An innovator who brought the sport to audiences around the world and created many skill moves for the modern player, he ruled in an era where defenders got away with murder and, above all, was the greatest in his sport time and time again.” I won an award.”

Fans debated which player could come close to what Pele has achieved in football.

    Who is closest to Pele?

Pele’s accolades do not do justice to the talent and skill he possessed at the time. He is the only player in history to have won the World Cup three times, but what is even more amazing is that he won the World Cup for the first time at the age of 17.

His skill could be argued with that of Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt was an absolute freak ahead of his time. The first stat sheet padding that did so intentionally without doing so.

But the number of accolades under Pele’s belt could definitely be discussed with Bill Russell’s 11-time NBA championship. I entered the name of
