    When Las Vegas Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson hit a 57-yard field goal in the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, he not only equaled the longest field goal of his NFL career, but also became the league’s first tied the record for the season. Field goals over 50 yards.

    Carlson took all six kicks and scored another field goal from 20 yards and four extra points. That included pushing the game into overtime with 1:11 left in the fourth quarter.

    Carlson’s 57-yard field goal on Sunday was the 10th to reach 50-plus yards in 2022, and tied the NFL’s record set by Blair Walsh of the Minnesota Vikings in 2012 and Justin Tucker of the Baltimore Ravens in 2016. It tied the record for one season.

    Carlson was one of 21 former Auburn players to take the field on Sunday 17 of the NFL’s 103rd season.

    Packers safety Rudy Ford (New Hope) made three tackles and intercepted the pass. Ford’s third interception of the 2022 season and fourth of his career came off Kirk Cousins, who returned it 19 yards to the Minnesota 45-yard line with 14:40 left in the game.
