Arizona State University Men’s Basketball Head Coach Bobby Hurley
    Opening Statement:
“It’s good to get back on track with a win. It’s probably as good as we played offensively, maybe a little bit better. I think I was able to move the ball well. I liked the total assists, which had 18 assists on 31 field goals. I did a good job with the paint again. There are many good things for the attacking side. After two tough losses, it’s good to regain the feeling that we’ve won basketball games again, and we’ll continue to build our confidence going forward. I haven’t seen many records of them. Because they’re not the same team that had to go through injuries and things at the beginning of the year. They’re a good basketball team and Kyle is doing a really good job. They have a good offense, they shoot really well, they have a good inside player, and they’ve played really well the last few weeks. I’m happy with the win and we just move on from here.”

    That it’s a shootout…
“I think we had one or two more stops. I told the players at halftime that I had a press. There were some plays like that. Powell is a good player. The shot clock is about to go off. In the first half, I think the numbers were better than they looked, it was easy to keep them around 31 points, but we are playing at a better level on the other side of the floor. It’s good to see that, so I hope to see developments in that area.”

On Washington’s touch leading to offensive success
“I don’t know if that’s the answer exactly. It’s certainly something we’d like to see more of. Couldn’t call it enough. It was nice to see Desmond Cambridge Jr. take the first three shots, DJ [Horne] We had some hits, but really good contributions from everyone. Luther Muhammad has a big 3 with 9 minutes and 9 points and is always playing hard so it was nice to see him playing well. ”

    In understanding their zone…
“I think we had really good success against their zone when we hit the high post. We had one. It was probably an adjustment we needed to make and just focus on getting the ball. We were too stagnant on the perimeter and the high post was a good spot for us in the zone.”

    On closing the three-point shooter…
“I think I lost to Mullins a lot of times. There are always things we can do a little better, but overall I liked what we did defensively and in the closing stages.

    On DJ Horne’s performance…
“The floater in the paint was a great shot. We have faith in him and over the course of the season and series of work we see him play in the game without connecting open threes in a row in the first half. I’m not worried about him making shots, he didn’t allow it to affect his defense and his effort, so I’m not worried about it. I’m satisfied.

About trusting his bench and making hockey line changes…
You are always a little nervous about it. Usually I only go to that tactic when I’m mad at my team. I wanted them all to play together and really I didn’t want to miss a single starter. I don’t know if I’m going to do that all the time. I liked how they brought more energy to the game and extended their lead, or at least maintained it. Many of them played there.

Starter and bench, each playing together…
I said at halftime to everyone ‘Hey guys, we’re going to get our chances, we’ve been doing it for four months.

    About the aggressive current…
It felt good to hit with a high batting average. As I mentioned, I think Warren was 8/8 at halftime. I think our offense flowed very well. Most of the shots moved the basketball and were quality, unselfish plays.

Arizona State Men’s Basketball Guard Luther Muhammad
    About team depth…
“We’re a deep team, so I don’t think it’s the first time it’s happened this year, and I believe it will probably happen again. When the number is called, everyone has to come in and play hard and contribute. not.”

With all five benches playing together…
“I feel like we played great. This was one of the best games we’ve had on the bench and we just picked it up and changed the pace of the game.”

Arizona State University Men’s Basketball Forward Warren Washington
    As for his performance tonight…
“I feel so good. I don’t want to go too high or too low. I just want to stay level, but keep working hard and try to win one win after another.”

Early involvement and it was intentionally…
“They didn’t have big guys like me here, so it was a learning curve here. Thanks to my teammates and coaches, actually we are doing a very good job inside and out and I feel like that translates into the game.As I said, trust me. Thank you to my teammates and coaches for helping me.”

    I want to win tonight
It’s not “somehow”, but be sure to participate and win. Push each other and stay together. The most important thing is to always be with you when you are losing. The more united we are, the more likely we are to stop the floods. ”

On having more assists than rebounds…
“Yeah, it was definitely the first time. I was so mad at myself. I looked at the scoreboard and I had zero rebounds and I was like, ‘Wow, this is unacceptable.'”

On the assist lead and Frankie lead rebound…
“It shows how much I love playing here. Even though we lost two games in a row, I’m really glad that they cheered us on. Honestly, I seem to be the most confident person. They really have to choose poison. They have to double me or isolate me.

About how hard it is to win…
“It’s a place where you have to weather the storm and you have to trust your teammates defensively and offensively. Players like Luther came off the bench and gave us energy when we needed it. ”
