Kickboxing is coming to Apple Fitness+.
Apple has revealed a range of new features, new trainers and more in the first big Apple Fitness+ update for 2023. The service has lots of new features, all of which will be launched on his Monday, January 9th.
This is what is coming.
Kickboxing
Apple rarely adds entirely new activity categories. That is why the emergence of kickboxing is notable. Kickboxing has already made a bit of an appearance in Jamie Ray’s Hartshorn workouts, so it’s no surprise that he’s leading his kickboxing sessions here. He will be joined by a new trainer, Nez Daly, for 10, 20 and 30 minute sessions.
No special tools are required, just be careful not to kick anything delicate.

Meditation is already a popular part of Fitness+, but sleep sessions have been missing until now — designed to help you fall asleep or relax, for example, when you find it difficult. It was a clear gap that is now being filled.
Like most Fitness+ sessions, it’s available on your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. It’s a video session. Of course, you don’t want bright video playing in your bedroom, but Apple has thought of it. As the session progresses, the screen dims to reduce visual distractions, but some indicators remain visible so you can see, for example, how much time is left in your session.
There are four 20-minute meditations that introduce new sleep themes. It works on full-size TVs, but iPhones and iPads seem a better match when viewed through the Apple TV. It also works on the Apple Watch, but you must wear headphones such as AirPods. This means retrieving them as they drift into Nod’s land, and may wake them up a bit.
