The Angels have done a great job filling in gaps in their roster this offseason. They added depth across the field and beefed up their rotation and bullpen. They enter with him one of the deepest rosters in baseball in 2023, but there may still be another move. But at this point in the offseason, they impressed a lot of people.
MLB Insider Jim Bowden athletic He was one of those who praised the Angels’ impressive offseason so far. .
“The Angels have had a solid offseason so far, adding right-handed power with the trade of Hunter Renfro. He plays right field and Taylor Ward is left field. They are the twins of Gio Urscella, who can play all four positions in the infield. Adding right-hander Carlos Estevez to the bullpen, the Angels report the health of third baseman Anthony Rendon, my early favorite for 2023 Comeback Player of the Year.
Bowden has not only been impressed with the Angels’ offseason, but he thinks it will get even better with the health of All-Star third baseman Anthony Rendon. There is still plenty of time to let go. Boden lists him as the first favorite to earn his Player of the Year award next season’s comeback, and he’s not the only one in that prediction.
This season is already shaping up to be a much better year for the Angels – and it doesn’t come at a better time.
