After a disappointing Qatar 2022 World Cup, Mexico has embarked on a very important rebuilding process. Read here to see the full 2023 schedule.

Mexico had their worst performance in a decade at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Led by coach Gerald Martin, the team failed to face Argentina, Poland and Saudi Arabia in Group C and were eliminated in the first round. Since 1994, Mexico has always reached at least the Round of 16. This amazing streak is over.

Mexico’s next step is the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held for the third time in its history. It would be a record. In 1970 and his 1986, Mexico had their best-ever appearance percentage in the quarterfinals when the famous Tori also played at home. This time we have to aim higher.

2023 will therefore mark the beginning of a new era for Mexico, with no time to lose until the next World Cup. A new coach comes into play in the process as Gerald Martin’s contract was not renewed. Click here for the 2023 Mexico National Team roster.

    2023 Mexico national team schedule

According to the FIFA International Match Calendar, Mexico’s first window to call all its top players is between March 20th and March 28th. Mexico will play Suriname on March 23 and at home to Jamaica on March 26. These matches will determine the Group A winner of the tournament.

The next official FIFA window is scheduled between June 12th and June 20th. For Mexico, this will be his last chance to play a friendly or official match before his 2023 Gold Cup. No rivals have been announced, but there could be up to two matches during this period. If Mexico wins Group A of his 2022-2023 Conca Cafe Nations League, Mexico will play in the Final Four of the tournament during this period.

Then comes the Gold Cup, the most important event for Mexico in 2023. The tournament is scheduled to run from he June 24th to he July 16th. The final draw to determine the groups will take place on his April 14th. Mexico are looking to regain the title after losing to the United States in the 2021 final.

After the 2023 Gold Cup, there are three official FIFA contacts remaining. Having already qualified as the host country for the 2026 World Cup, Mexico will no doubt be scheduled for friendly matches. These three FIFA window dates are September 4th to September 12th, October 9th to October 17th and November 13th to November 21st.

Mexico can schedule up to 6 games during these periods. In September he held twice, in October he held twice, and in November he held two more to round out the year. These rivals and dates have yet to be announced.
