With that said, the Saints running back undoubtedly provided a little extra contact to Wilkins in the first location after the play, so theres a great chance that the previous first-round pick for Miami was already in retaliation mode when he did that.
Regardless, it was all simply a small skirmish, albeit one that cost New Orleans 15 backyards in the procedure.
But hey, at least Kamara had sense enough to enter into it with somebody on the other team, unlike the Washington Football Team on Sunday Night Football.

Georgia football gets two huge names back after COVID scare by Alicia de Artola.
Saints running back Alvin Kamara didnt take too kindly to Dolphins defensive tackle Christian Wilkins stealing his towel after a third-down stop.
The New Orleans Saints entered into Monday Night Football against the rising Miami Dolphins with something to prove. With a lineup depleted by COVID, Sean Paytons group still wasnt ready to go down without a fight. Running back Alvin Kamara mayve had simply a bit too much fight.
Miami took an early lead and the New Orleans offense looked anemic early on with rookie Ian Book having to take the start at quarterback. When the Dolphins got a third-down stop and protective lineman Christian Wilkins began with some shenanigans, the running back wasnt in the state of mind.
Specifically, he took offense after a heated play when Wilkins nabbed the towel off of his back, which led to Kamara reversing and pushing the huge male in the back, making a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct charge while doing so.

Its a quite widely known custom not to do stuff like what Wilkins did– you dont take towels, chains, and so on unless you desire to begin something.
