Mets laughable attempt to steal Mike Girsch from Cardinals falls by the wayside

The New York Mets tried to snag Mike Girsch far from the St. Louis Cardinals and it certainly didnt work.
Well, it looks like Mike Girsch will be remaining in St. Louis for the foreseeable future. He obviously might have had the chance to relocate to New York however elected to remain in Missouri. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, hes got a great, steady job as the St. Louis Cardinals General Manager and the expense of living is much more budget friendly.
Oh, and he wont need to handle the headache that the New York Mets can be.
According to a tweet from Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Mets apparently approached Girsch with the intent of letting him be their General Manager. In his tweet, Goold said a source indicated that Girsch intended on staying right where he was.

The Cardinals may not be the ideal organization, however the tools to win are already put together for Girsch, making his job a lot much easier. Girsch and the rest of St. Louis front office just went through the procedure of making an essential hire for the next manager of the Cardinals, Oliver Marmol.
Girsch has a pretty good gig going today. Why leave it for a group that has been a little unstable in current seasons?

Well, it looks like Mike Girsch will be sticking around in St. Louis for the foreseeable future. He obviously might have had the opportunity to move to New York but chosen to remain in Missouri. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, hes got an excellent, stable task as the St. Louis Cardinals General Manager and the expense of living is much more economical.
