The Atlanta Braves received a harsh injury upgrade on beginning pitcher Charlie Morton after he left Game 1 of the World Series.
The Atlanta Braves got off to a significant start to Game 1 of the World Series, taking an early 5-0 lead over the Houston Astros. However, they received some awful news after starting pitcher Charlie Morton was eliminated from the video game in the 3rd inning with an apparent injury. As it ends up, the condition is a severe one.
During the game, the Braves announced that Morton went through x-rays, which revealed a right fibula fracture. He is out for the rest of the World Series, but will be prepared for Spring Training.
