Which college football programs require new head coaches? Thats a pretty difficult question to answer, usually. There are a ton of elements that go into why a coach might not be a fantastic fit at a specific school.
Normally, there are strong philosophical arguments for being client and relying on a head coach to turn things around. Thats specifically true with smaller sized programs that dont have the luxury of having an abundance of resources offered at their fingertips.
In this day and age, apparently everyone is ready to fire their head coach at the drop of the hat. Or wrong, thats the way college football operates right now. As such, turnover may take place.
Here are 6 groups and 6 head coaches who should consider separating in the future:.
6. College football spot: Jimmy Lake, Washington.
When Chris Petersen stepped far from leading the Washington Huskies, it looked like if things would be simply great when Jimmy Lake took control of as their head coach. However, Washington is just 3-4 on the year and has looked anything but excellent throughout the season.
The Huskies started the season with a loss to Montana (an FCS group) and just barely handled to finish a resurgence to remove the Arizona Wildcats.
Thats hardly anything worth commemorating.
Lake must most likely get more time to prove himself as a head coach, however so far he hasnt done much to motivate self-confidence in the instructions the Huskies are going. Theres an excellent argument that Lake ought to be canned and it focuses around Washingtons failure to beat Montana. Contributing to that, the Huskies basically have no offense whatsoever.
Admittedly, it d be a little stunning to see Washington proceed from Lake this early into his tenure, but its clear that he requires to make some significant modifications if hes going to stay as head coach in Seattle for the foreseeable future.
