The 2021 NFL season is in full swing, as the first quarter of the season ended, and there were lots of surprises. As we get in Week 5 of what is now a 17-game slate, quarterbacks are starting to emerge above others, while some are still getting their feet damp at the NFL level.
Here, we look at the leading dream football sleeper quarterbacks for Week 5 of the 2021 NFL season.
10 QB sleepers to target for dream football NFL 2021 Week 5.
10. Justin Fields at Las Vegas.
This week, the Chicago Bears handed the keys to the cars and truck to Justin Fields, a dynamic quarterback from Ohio State. Fields was a first-round choice of the Bears in 2021 and was expected to eventually take over for Andy Dalton, however head coach Matt Nagy stated earlier in the week that Dalton would be the starter if healthy.
On Wednesday, Nagy altered his tune, naming Fields as the permanent starter even if Dalton is healthy. Fields project in Week 5 will be against the Las Vegas Raiders, who have a better defense than years before, but have been injured by quarterbacks this season, as we saw Monday night versus Justin Herbert.
9. Taylor Heinicke vs New Orleans.
If there is something you can state about the Washington Football Team in terms of the offense, it is that Taylor Heinicke deserves to be the beginning quarterback for the foreseeable future. This person has the backing of his teammates, and is making plays, and should have some simple sledding in Week 5.
Heinicke and the WFT will be hosting the New Orleans Saints, who are cold and very hot on the defensive side of the ball. Washington has an elite weapon in Terry McLaurin, a strong No. 2 in Antonio Gibson, and are fresh off installing 34 on Atlanta. This one has the makings of being a high-scoring affair.
