Tyrann Mathieu captured wind of Adams new contract on Twitter on Monday afternoon. After Tod Palmer of the “4th and 1 podcast” tweeted out that offer could be relevant in the Kansas City Chiefs agreement negotiations with Mathieu, he responded in a tweet that read “the disrespect is noted.”
Mathieu is due for a brand-new contract after this upcoming season, where he is set to earn $14.5 million in base wage. If the Chiefs were to let him walk, Mathieu would no doubt money in on a substantial payday, provided that he is one of the top safeties in the NFL today. Mathieu strolling is not in the Chiefs strategies.

The safety market in the NFL was formally set on Tuesday when the Seattle Seahawks consented to terms with Jamal Adams on a four-year, $70 million agreement extension. With that, those who play the very same position as Adams now have their asking cost in agreement negotiations.
