Rockies issue statement over racial slur directed at Lewis Brinson

The Colorado Rockies have provided a declaration over the racial slur directed at Miami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson by a fan throughout Sunday afternoons game in Denver.
Hours after the series ending ended, the Colorado Rockies launched their official statement on the regrettable event of a Rockies fans yelling a racial slur while Miami Marlins outfielder Lewis Brinson was at the plate.

The Rockies organization is “disgusted” by the act of among their fans in the ninth inning of Sunday afternoons video game. While they were not able to identify the fan prior to the video game ended, the organization is still examining the matter. “The Rockies have no tolerance for any type of bigotry or discrimination” being used by any viewer at one of their video games at Coors Field.
Here is the official declaration sent out over Twitter by the Rockies organization on Sunday night.

Colorado won the game over the Marlins 13-8 to improve to 51-61 on the year. Miami was up to 47-65 on the season in this Sunday matinee defeat. The Rockies begin a two-game roadway series vs. the interleague competing Houston Astros on Tuesday, while the Marlins stay out West and will start a three-game roadway series vs. the San Diego Padres in bright Southern California on Tuesday.
Lets hope we have more clarification on what went down in Denver Sunday by the end of the day.

Though there is some argument that the supposed fan in concern was calling out for the Rockies anthropomorphic triceratops mascot Dinger while Brinson was at the plate, his unsettling yelling was definitely loud sufficient to be picked up by the mic during the Rockies telecast. Either way, the Rockies organization is getting all sorts of bad promotion for this unfortunate event in Denver.
