This one is a no-brainer. Just when it appeared like the Padres would be the big winners in the race for Max Scherzer, the Dodgers came out of nowhere to snag the leading pitcher on the trade market. Not just that, but they got an All-Star shortstop to choose him.
Los Angeles is now a bonafide super-team. Even with Clayton Kershaws injury return unpredictable, the Dodgers have their ace. They can put Trevor Bauer in the rearview mirror.
All eyes in LA should be on the World Series.

The MLB trade due date was already wild enough. The Los Angeles Dodgers blew the lid and went off by choosing up Max Scherzer and Trea Turner from the Washington Nationals.
The hit trade is all however done, with Jeff Passan of ESPN reporting that the deal is in the process of being completed.
With Los Angeles getting the players they required and the Nationals getting a haul of potential customers in return, who were the winners and losers of the trade?

Max Scherzer and Trea Turner won the Nationals a World Series. Of course its difficult to part with them. Nevertheless, when it pertains to prospects, the team could not have actually done much better.
The trade supposedly consists of the Dodgers leading 2 prospects, catcher Keibert Ruiz and pitcher Josiah Gray, plus 2 more mid-range prospects. Ruiz and Gray rank 41st and 42nd amongst MLB prospects.
Those are substantial gets for a group wanting to restore. Before the trade, Washingtons highest-rated possibility was pitcher Cade Cavalli at No. 77.
Trea Turner.
Turner is just 28 years old. Rather of squandering his prime waiting on Washingtons restore, he gets to join a World Series contender with complimentary firm on the horizon.
The shortstop will be a complimentary representative after next season. That means he has a half and a season to significantly enhance his value while potentially including to his prize cabinet.
