Dana White offered an injury update on Conor McGregor after an unusual ending to UFC 264.

McGregor will go straight into surgery on Sunday after being removed on a stretcher following his doctors interruption loss to Poirier. White confirmed that McGregor suffered a lower tibia injury in the closing seconds of the opening round.

UFC president Dana White held his post-fight press conference following a wild night at UFC 264 and supplied a problematic update on Conor McGregors leg injury.

McGregor sounds like hell be sidelined for a prolonged period of time after suffering the brutal leg injury at UFC 264, while Poirier will be the next title opposition to UFC lightweight champ Charles Oliveira.
While its officially recorded as a physicians blockage win for Poirier, the possibility of a McGregor-Poirier 4 event in the future isnt completely off the table.
