Amid questions about his long-term future with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers spoke openly about enhancing his mental health this offseason.
On the eve of a charity golf exhibit against his football competing Tom Brady, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers offered an upgrade on his psychological health throughout what has been a rainy offseason. A 16-year NFL veteran, Rodgers remains in the midst of a very public dispute with the only NFL team hes ever played for.
Instead of let himself get bogged down in the fall-out, Rodgers focused on looking after his psychological health and keeping a positive state of mind. According to Ben Baby of ESPN, heres what the three-time NFL MVP had to say.
” Im really grateful for the opportunity to deal with my mental health. I havent handled bouts of anxiety or anything, that I believe for whatever reason, are OK to talk about if youre discussing psychological health. Ive simply truly been attempting to consider what puts me in the finest state of mind. What routines can I form that enable me to feel most in my body, the majority of present, happiest? And thats what Ive been doing.”.
Rodgers concentrated on frame of mind.
Rodgers rightly mentioned theres a preconception around mental health conversations, especially in sports.
” The mental side of [sports] is so important for everybody athletes,” Rodgers stated. “I dont believe its spoken about enough. However taking some time to work on yourself is, I think, the finest gift any of us can provide ourselves.”.
” Im very happy for the chance to work on my mental health. I havent dealt with bouts of depression or anything, that I think for whatever reason, are OK to talk about if youre talking about psychological health. Taking time to work on yourself is, I think, the best gift any of us can offer ourselves.”.
