Vadim Nemkov has made a minimum of another fight as a safeguarding Bellator champion in the Bellator Light Heavyweight Grand Prix, making his very first successful title defense in the primary occasion of Bellator 257 versus Phil Davis.

Josh Thompson is 100% proper about Davis being discouraging. These people are pals, so we wont be too sincere. Possibly thats the issue. Davis needs a great deal of tough love to reach the next level. #bellator 257.

In spite of Davis having a strong fumbling background, he scored no takedowns throughout the 25 minutes, while Nemkov scored three. Comparable to when they first met, Davis was slow in his offensive output, while Nemkov pushed the rate and managed the fight for the first 3 rounds.
Davis slowly chose up his pace in the title rounds, however Nemkov was still able to hold his own and it wasnt enough for the previous champ. All three judges scored the bout 48-47 for Nemkov.

Nemkov devoted too much on the overhand. #Bellator 257.
No idea why Nemkov did not actually take his leg home after landing the low kicks at will round 1. Josh Thompson is 100% correct about Davis being frustrating. Davis needs a lot of hard love to reach the next level.

Nemkov now carries on in the Light Heavyweight Grand Prix and will protect the champion against either Anthony “Rumble” Johnson or Yoel Romero in the semifinals.

Something I liked that Nemkov was doing after he gassed was using offense to act as his defense.
He simply kept tossing labored punches, however Phil wasnt an excellent sufficient striker to capitalize & & not wise sufficient to battle. #Bellator 257.

No idea why Nemkov did not actually take his leg home after landing the low kicks at will round 1. Would enjoy some journalist asking him. Did he break something? Noticed he hardly threw any longer, and those were half the time deep ones with the shin. #Bellator 257.
