Celtics coach Brad Stevens stated on Saturday that he isnt sure the teams latest addition this offseason, Tristan Thompson, will be prepared to play in time for Bostons season opener in the house against the Milwaukee Bucks on Dec. 23.
Thompson hurt his hamstring after returning to action from a long offseason.
” I think thats tough to state today,” Stevens said after the group practiced Saturday.
” Hes not been in any part of practice. Hes done our pre-practice … … 2-on-2, 3-on-3, extremely light; simulated checks out work on both ends. So thats it.”
Thompson, who spent the first 8 seasons of his profession with the Cleveland Cavaliers, signed a two-year, $19 million agreement with Boston this offseason.
